Find learners where both centres and date windows line up.
Swap flow
From booked test to confirmed swap.
Lets Swap Tests helps two learners find a compatible swap, agree it clearly, prepare the right details, and then use the official DVSA phone process.
Keep chat focused until both learners are ready for DVSA.
Save references, agree a call window, then phone DVSA.
Save the test you already have
Enter your current DVSA test centre, booked date and time, plus the centre and date window you want instead.
- Use the real test you already have booked.
- Choose a desired centre and start/end date window.
- Do not enter licence numbers or payment details.
Search for compatible learners
The app checks both directions of the swap. Your desired test must match what they have, and your current test must fit what they want.
- Their current centre matches your desired centre.
- Your current centre matches their desired centre.
- Both test dates sit inside the other learner's preferred window.
Send or accept one swap request
When a match looks right, send a request. The other learner can accept or decline it. Keeping one active swap reduces confusion.
- Pending requests can be cancelled.
- Accepted swaps open the coordination workspace.
- Declined or cancelled swaps return you to searching.
Use the accepted-swap workspace
After both learners accept, the page focuses on the swap itself: references, messages, and the call window.
- Messages are available only inside accepted swaps.
- Both learners can save their DVSA booking reference.
- The other learner's reference is shown once they add it.
- Both learners agree a one-hour DVSA call window.
Prepare for the DVSA phone swap
Lets Swap Tests does not change the booking. It helps both learners get ready before using the official DVSA process.
- Check both learners still want the swap.
- Have both booking references ready.
- Use the agreed call window so both learners can answer DVSA checks.
- Call DVSA on the official number: 0300 200 1122.
Confirm, change, or cancel
The swap is complete only when DVSA confirms it. If timings change or a learner is no longer ready, keep the workspace accurate.
- Propose a new call time if the agreed window no longer works.
- Cancel the swap if either learner cannot continue.
- Mark the swap complete after DVSA confirms the booking change.
Compatibility
What counts as a match?
A match is not just someone with a test you want. Both sides need to line up: centres, dates, and preferred windows all have to work for each learner.
Privacy
What stays hidden?
Public search does not need phone numbers, addresses, licence numbers, card details, or private contact details. Keep sensitive details out of chat.
DVSA
Who confirms the swap?
DVSA confirms whether the booking change can happen. Lets Swap Tests helps with matching and coordination only.
